Julie Mae Laundrie-Smet, 54, of Green Bay passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 17, 1968 in Green Bay to Sherman and Dorothy Laundrie. Following Julie’s graduation from Ashwaubenon High School in 1987, she graduated from NWTC with a degree in Cosmetology and Accounting. Julie met the love of her life, Scott Smet of Green Bay, and moved to Charlotte, NC where she worked as an accountant. Upon returning to Green Bay, she was employed as a regional sales manager for National Salon Resources. She was a business owner of several salons in
Ashwaubenon. Julie finished her career with Kenan Advantage Group as an Operations Manager. In April 1993, Julie and Scott Smet were married. She blessed him with three wonderful children and loved them with all her heart. Julie courageously fought cancer to her final days just for more time with her children as they were her everything.
Julie is survived by her husband Scott; her children, Alec, Wyatt and Ashley; stepdaughter, Shawna; parents, Sherman and Dorothy Laundrie; sister, Deborah and her husband Casey Breaker; brother, Scott and his wife Wendy Laundrie; brother-in-law, Thomas Orde; nieces and nephews; Cody and Tanner Orde, Peyton and Sydney Breaker; godmother, to Tanner Orde, Joseph Graves, Colton Hockers, and Emme Ness. Julie will be deeply missed by Scott, her children, and her family.
Julie was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Orde.
