Katherine Marie Schneider, 42, Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, following a courageous battle with uterine cancer. She was born December 14, 1980, in Marshfield, Wisconsin to KC Maurer and the late Judy (Nelson) Maurer.

Katherine grew up in Marshfield and Neenah areas and later settled in Green Bay with her husband and children. Very early in life she developed a passion and talent for art, music and dance and she continued to nurture these talents throughout her life. Many knew Katherine as a fantastic event planner. She loved celebrating birthdays, special occasions and couldn’t wait for Christmas. No one ever left hungry.

She was a unique and spirited individual that was filled with energy and life. Katherine had a passion for many things, but most of all she had a passion for service to others. Whether it was leading a key fundraiser or volunteering at the Women’s Empowerment Center, she worked tirelessly. Katherine was always willing to open her heart and house to anyone who needed a place to stay or some advice to get them back on track.

Katherine was always a caregiver. Whether young or old, she took care of everyone who entered her life. Even as she lay in bed struggling with cancer and fighting for each breath, her thoughts were always for others.

She is survived by her husband Jim and their four children: Amanda (Matt) Podgorski; Ashley Schneider; Vadin Kositzke and Christian Kositzke. Katherine is further survived by her father KC Maurer and her mother Dawn Christensen; her siblings: Chris (Kristy) Maurer; Carey (Chad) Martin; Brittany (Chris) Voight and Branden (Steff) Christensen; mother-in-law, Mary Schneider; brother-in-law, Terry (Kim) Schneider and sister-in-law, Rita (Larry) Conard. She will be missed by a countless number of nieces and nephews whom she kept very close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Johnson and father-in-law, Don Schneider.
