Kenneth A. Larsen, Sr., 71, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.  He was born on April 14, 1951, in Green Bay to the late Chester and Lucille (Boser) Larsen.  Ken was a graduate of Denmark High School.  He then attended Northern Michigan University and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.  After graduation he passed the CPA exam and became a Certified Public Accountant.  On July 6, 1974, he married Carole Srnka at Holy Rosery Catholic Church in Kewaunee.  He began his career in 1973 as a senior accountant with Jonet, Fountain, VandeLoo and Glaser CPAs in Green Bay.  In 1976, he joined the firm of Shinners, Hucovski and Co., S.C. in Green Bay.  In 1995, Ken became the CFO of Hoida, Inc. and HDM, Inc. in De Pere.  In 2006, he became the CFO of Portside Builders, Inc. until 2008.  Coinciding with his fulltime career in accounting, he started K.A. Larsen Consulting, which he operated until his illness.  Ken served as an outside director of Denmark State Bank and Denmark Bancshares, Inc.  Ken enjoyed staying active by golfing and exercising in the swimming pool.  He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.  Ken also liked playing cards, visiting Door County and attending plays at the Weidner Center.  He was very helpful and charitable, always willing to lend a hand to anyone.  His faith was very important to him and was very active at Atonement Lutheran Church.  He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa.  Ken loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Carole; children, Kenneth (Lindsey) Larsen, Jr. and Erin (Al) Peters; grandchildren, Emeline Larsen, Griffin Larsen and Oliver Peters; brothers, Bruce (Marlene) Larsen and Kevin (Mary) Larsen; sisters, Rita (Jon) Angeli, Barbara Krouse and Gail (Bill Blount) Larsen; sister-in-law, Beverly Larsen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon (Roger) Danbrova, Sandy (Russ) Synhorst, Gayle (Peter) Andre, Mary (Jerry) Vanderkinter, Frank (Colleen) Srnka, Steve (Linda) Srnka and Rob Srnka; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregory Larsen and Ronald Larsen; brother-in-law, Roger Krouse; and sister-in-law, Linda Srnka.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.  A private Memorial Service will take place at Atonement Lutheran Church.  Online condolences maybe expressed at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
