Kenneth Clarence “Gramps” Zuelke, 93, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He was born September 23, 1929, to Clarence and Mollie (Stanelle) Zuelke.
From 1952 to 1954 Ken served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. On April 6, 1957, he married Muriel Gray in Green Bay. Ken began working as a mechanic, then as a chemical salesman, and later retired after 25 years as a supervisor for Schreiber Foods. He loved spending his time bowling, golfing, coaching youth hockey, deer hunting, playing darts, enjoying a good corn roast with a bowl of booyah, and riding his golf cart to The Villages square to listen to music and enjoy happy hour. Ken was also a proud member of R.O.O.T.S. (Royal Order of the Red Squirrel).
Ken is survived by his children, Marcia (Bob) Diedrich, Sherri (Don) Hauser, and Bart Zuelke; his grandchildren, Charles (Rosalina) Ruohonen, Amanda Hauser, Dustin Diedrich, Zach (Carrie) Diedrich, and Jon Hauser; his great-grandchildren, Matthew, Alana, Oliver, and Leighton; a brother, Jim (Judie) Zuelke; sister -in-law, Mary Zuelke; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel, his parents, and a brother, Jerry Zuelke.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Wednesday, September 27th from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to benefit Rennes Health and Rehab Center and the Jack and Engrid Meng Hospice Residence.
