DeKeyser, 82, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at a local care facility.  He was born March 14, 1941, to Eli and Myrtle (LaLuzerne) DeKeyser.  The family farmed in Brussels and Larry graduated from Brussels High School with the Class of 1959.  On May 30, 1960, he married Elaine LaLuzerne at St. Francis Catholic Church, Brussels.  The couple lived in Namur and Green Bay before settling into their home in Dyckesville, enjoying 31 years of life on the bay.  Larry and Elaine wintered for many years in Florida.  Elaine passed away on August 22, 2023.  After 63 years of marriage, he now rejoins her in their heavenly home.

Larry was an over the road truck driver for many years.  His childhood love of working the land continued and he still gardened and enjoyed riding on his John Deere.  So much so that his grandchildren referred to him as Papa Grower.  He also enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, fishing and watching the birds.  His faith life remained a constant and he was an active member of St. Louis Parish in Dyckesville.

He will be missed by his children, Dean (Laurie) DeKeyser and Brenda (John) Prochniak; five grandchildren, Brooke (Paul) Maass, Ben Wilmet, Murphy Prochniak, Courtney DeKeyser and Chelsea (Grant) DeKeyser-Fischer; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Johanna DeKeyser and Elaine LaLuzerne, a brother-in-law, Darrel (Elaine) LaLuzerne, his best friend, John (Darice) Bunker; nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Wilmet; his parents; a brother, Sanford DeKeyser; brothers-in-law, Gary (Susan) and Tom LaLuzerne.
