Loretta A. Zarnoth, 92, Green Bay resident, died Thursday, December 1, 2022, at a local care facility. She was born March 20, 1930, in Wrightstown to the late Andrew and Sophie (Smits) Terrien. Loretta attended East De Pere High School, graduating in 1947. She married Norman Zarnoth on August 7, 1954, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1979.

Loretta worked as an accountant her entire life, while also raising six children. She enjoyed many years working at University Travel Service and spent the last 20 years of her career working at Wisconsin Fabricating Company, retiring in 2010 at the age of 80. Loretta had a strong faith and raised her family accordingly. She always kept her faith as the central focus of her life. She was a devout member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish since 1964 and recently was a regular attendee at Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Loretta was extremely proud of her membership in the St. Mary’s Choir, the Cathedral Choir and the Diocesan Choir.

Her family was always a priority, not only her children and grandchildren, but all of her siblings, in-laws, and the nieces and nephews as well. Holidays, birthdays and special events were always special to Loretta and the best part was the family always gathered together at Loretta’s house to celebrate on those occasions.

Loretta’s enduring philosophy on life was “Smile God Loves you!” She put that into practice every day of her life by wearing a beautiful smile wherever she went!

She is survived by her six children: Albert (Lisa) Zarnoth; Susan Zarnoth; Norma (Joel) Dobberpuhl; Wayne Zarnoth; Karen (Rich) Wendricks and Ron (Dawn) Zarnoth; 10 grandchildren: Norman, Nicole (Johnny), Benjamin, Emily, Richard (Emily), Dillon, Andrew, Macy, Cole and Hayden; four great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Eileen Terrien and Marie Zarnoth.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Marcella (James) Seidl; Jerome (Eleanor) Terrien; Joseph Terrien; Melvin (Lillian) Terrien; Margaret (“Mickey”) Bain; Helen (Gerald) Linssen; Louis Terrien; her in-laws: Adella (Alfred) Schroeder; Lillian (Nick) Herwald; Ruby (Earl) Roskom; Leo (Esther) Zarnoth; Ervin Zarnoth; Floyd (Ardelle) Zarnoth; Carry Zarnoth; Alice (Elroy) Wegner; and Pearl (Wesley) Bittner.
