Lucille Deffke

Lucille Deffke, 92, Green Bay resident, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday morning, April 25, 2022.  She was born on September 22, 1929, in the town of Eaton to the late Clarence and Mabel (Vanden Bush) Deffke.   Lucille worked at the Fort Howard Paper Company for over 40 years.  She enjoyed golfing, playing card games especially bridge.  Her Catholic faith was very important to her.  Lucille’s family meant the world to her, and she loved each and every one of them.

She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Tielens and Carol (Gabe) LeCloux; 26 nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolores (Norman) Destree, Mercedes (Gene) Rentmeester and Wallace Tielens; and infant brother, Merlyn Deffke.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Ln., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating.  Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thank you to Unity Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for their care and compassion.  Also, to all of Lucille’s extended family for their help and support.
