Marian Koss passed away at Aurora Hospital on Feb. 3, 2022, after a short illness. Her close family was at her side during her entire stay, and she passed peacefully without pain early in the morning with her loving daughter Kathy holding her hand.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Koss Parolini (Dave), son Bruce Koss (Kathy II), and two granddaughters, Maria and Julia Parolini. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen Koss. Marian will be greatly missed by friends and family.
She was a natural-born teacher and strong advocate for education. As friends and family know, no matter how she was feeling, we were always greeted with a warm smile and positive vibes. She loved to be social and laugh, especially when playing Tuesday card games with close friends.
She started life with very little, but with her smarts, research and common sense, she was able to live a very comfortable life.
Marian especially cherished the time she spent with her two granddaughters, Maria and Julia. She always encouraged them in anything they did, and they are better people because of her guidance and love.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2911 Libal St. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family and online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
