Marilyn Joy Swette
Marilyn J. Swette, 91, of Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021. She was born on Jan. 5, 1930, in Crystal Falls, MI, to the late Jacob and Elvira (Sulasalmi) Wierikko. Marilyn was a graduate of Forest Park High School. On Aug. 20, 1955, she married Donald Swette. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2016. Marilyn belonged to the Green Bay/De Pere Antiquarian Society, Brown County Historical Society and Bellin Auxiliary. She loved traveling, especially to Europe, and learning about different cultures. Marilyn appreciated art and spending time exploring museums, long walks, playing tennis and skiing.
Marilyn will be deeply missed by her children, David (Amy) Swette, Steven Swette and Susan (Francis) Sheehan; grandchildren, Amber, Jacob, Michael, David (Allie) and Katherine (Jack); great grandchild, Patrick; dear lifelong friends, Joe and Elaine Ferris; and many other family, friends, nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was greeted in heaven by her husband, Donald; her parents; and her brother, Melvin Wierikko. She is further greeted by her step-mother, Caroline Wierikko; stepsister, Marilyn (Malcom) McNeil; and great grandchild, Allister Sheehan.
