Marion E. Liebmann, 89, Green Bay resident, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at a local care facility. She was born May 13, 1934, in the Town of Humboldt to the late Ben and Lucy (Mellen) Vanden Avond. Marion attended St. Joseph Academy High School graduating in 1952. She married Robert Liebmann on June 20, 1953, at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2001.
Marion and Bob owned and operated a dairy farm in Green Bay until their retirement in 1988. She also enjoyed waitressing at Woodside Country Club for many years as well as the Bellin Psych Hospital as a kitchen aide. Marion was an active member of Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Parish and Prince of Peace Parish. She especially looked forward to working at the church picnics. Marion had a deep faith which gave her the strength to continue living God’s word.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanne and Tim Belanger, Abrams, and her son, John and Ronda Liebmann, Green Bay; grandson, Alex (Alecia) Liebmann; her sisters: Doris DeGrave; Elaine (Harvey) DeGreef and Marie (John) Skaletski, all of Green Bay; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three daughters: Kathryn Ann, Mary Lynn and Linda Marie, a son, Paul Liebmann; brother, Bernard (Dorothy) Vanden Avond and twin sister, Marilyn Vanden Avond.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, September 12. Parish wake service 7:00 pm Tuesday. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd, from 9:30-10:45 am. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Wednesday at the church with Rev. Richard Getchel officiating.
