Merle Jolin

Merle A. Jolin, 93, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 19, 2021.  She was born in Green Bay on December 27, 1927, to the late Charles and Anna (Tikalsky) Shuber.  She married Francis Mornard at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay.  He preceded her in death on November 5, 1976.  She then married Walter Jolin in Green Bay and he later preceded her in death.  Merle was very active throughout most of her life.  She enjoyed golfing, bowling, card clubs and swimming at the YMCA.  Merle volunteered with many organizations including the Weidner Center, the Bellin Run and at her parish, St. Agnes Catholic Church.  St. Agnes was very important to her and she attended daily Mass for over 35 years.

She is survived by her children, David (Julie) Mornard, Catherine Mornard, Ellen (Dave) Lantow and Dan Mornard; her many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and spouses, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Vanderheyden; granddaughter, Melissa Jones; daughter-in-law, Lita Mornard; and her sisters, Irma, LaVerne, Edna, Bette, Marie and Leone.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating.  Entombment will be at the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
