Michael Berna, a beloved husband and father, passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 59. He was born on September 1, 1963, in Shawano, Wisconsin, to Gerard and Marilyn Berna.
Mike was a dedicated mechanic and a great mentor to those around him. He tirelessly devoted 39 years of his life to working as a car salesman and mechanic, assisting the community one broken car at a time. Fixing cars was his passion from a young age, along with his love for racing and, occasionally, a bit of mischief.
In his leisure time, Mike found joy in landscaping, construction projects, and cherished moments by the lake with his family. He leaves behind a loving wife, Sherry, his children, Jessica, Kayla, Pauline, Riley, and five adoring grandchildren: Zaylee, Kiona, Gunner, Kadyn, and Cecilia. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers, Steve, John, Ron, and his sisters, Mary, Diane, and Lisa.
He was proceeded in death after his father and mother Gerard and Marilyn Berna.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mike will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and his career. He leaves behind a legacy of knowledge, passion, and an unyielding determination for the things he held dear, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors at Aurora Hospital for their compassionate care of Mike during his time of need.
