Michael J Chervenka “Mike”, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021. He was 67.

Mike was born on May 15, 1953 in Green Bay, WI, to Jerome and Dolores (Rohr) Chervenka. He attended St. Matthew School and Abbott Pennings High School and was a 1971 graduate of Green Bay East High School. Mike worked as an accomplished commercial painter for many years doing interior and exterior work. His impeccable attention to detail made him in high demand for his painting skills. Additionally, he worked at Oneida Casino for the past 25 years, retiring in 2020.

Mike enjoyed spending time in the warm California sun visiting his brother and family in Mission Viejo, Ca. He watched his nephews play countless baseball games and then enjoyed his first taste of Sushi, which he loved! Mike shared his brother John’s love of the Rolling Stones and together they attended three live concerts, loving every minute! He was a lifelong Packers fan, an attendee of the famed Ice Bowl.

Mike is survived by his Sister, Mary K (Tom) Frymark, Plover, Wi and Brother, John (Diane), Chervenka, Mission Viejo, CA.  Nieces: Amy (Frymark)Flores; Amanda Spangler and Karissa Zamora. Nephews: Andrew Frymark; Joshua Chervenka and Jacob Chervenka.

Mike was predeceased in death by his parents, Jerome and Dolores Chervenka.

His siblings pet dogs were always a favorite of Mike. Maddie and Luke both enjoyed a special bond and many long walks with Uncle Mike. They jumped with joy when Uncle Mike arrived to visit. Mike will be missed. He was the original Jumpin Jack Flash.

A Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Catholic Church 333 Hilltop Drive will be on Wednesday, April 7th.  Mike and his father, Jerome Chervenka, will share this time together. Jerome passed away on February 10, 2021. Father Tom Reynebeau will celebrate the Mass.

Mike will be buried next to his maternal grandparents, August and Cecilia Rohr, in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Kewaunee, Wis. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Proko Wall Funeral Home at 1630 E. Mason Street Green Bay, WI 54302.

The family would like to thank, Lese, of AseraCare Hospice & staff for all of their guidance and care, as well as the staff of Oak Park Place helping my brother complete his final path in life.
