Michael J. Vandenhouten, 28, Milwaukee, formerly of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 30, 2022.  He was born on February 3, 1994, in Madison to Peter and Katherine (Buss) Vandenhouten.  He was a 2012 graduate of Notre Dame Academy.  Michael then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison receiving a degree in business.  He worked in the sales field, previously with Imperial Supplies and most recently with Sciton.  Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also liked going up to the cottage.  Michael was an outgoing person with an infectious smile that would light up the room.  He was a Packers fan, comedy enthusiast and movie buff. To those who knew Michael he was a gift.  He treasured his time with family and friends.  Michael will be remembered as a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by those who loved him most, his father, Peter Vandenhouten; mother, Katherine Vandenhouten; sister, Elizabeth (Brady Back) Allen; twin siblings Matthew (MacKenzie Clark) Vandenhouten and Emily Vandenhouten; his special nieces and nephews, Jakob, Elissa, Liam and one on the way, Brooks; paternal grandfather, Mark (Mabel) Vandenhouten; maternal grandmother, Joan Buss; his dog, Yogi; and Michael had too many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to count.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Vandenhouten; maternal grandfather, Wayne Buss; and his uncle, Bill Buss.

Visitation will be held at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Parish wake service 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church Rev.
