Michael (Mike) John Rosner, was unexpectedly called to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born in Phelps, Wisconsin to the late William and Agnes (Severson) Rosner on September 6, 1947. He grew up in northern Wisconsin enjoying all that it had to offer a youngster who loved the great outdoors. Mike was an excellent 3-sport athlete in high school and graduated from Eagle River Union High School in 1965.

Mike married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Helene Chuckel, recently celebrating their 56th wedding anniversary. Together they had two beautiful children, Michelle and Michael, and six amazing grandchildren who loved, adored and admired him.

Mike enjoyed the simpler things in life, he didn’t want for much, but had everything he needed to live life to the fullest.  He was a hard-working man and enjoyed a 36-year career at Thompson Sheet Metal and Heating, retiring in 2009. He was an avid outdoorsman who excelled at hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He was a member of the New Franken Sportsman Club and Brown County Sportsman Club.  He enjoyed several trips out West and to Canada hunting for trophy wildlife with friends and relatives.  He was most at peace when he was outside in a boat, in a tree stand or watching and feeding the birds at his feeder.  His “happy place” was Marathon, FL.

He loved telling stories and rehashing a fishing or hunting outing. He loved people and could make friends with a stranger! Mike had a nickname for many people who he loved and cherished, and nick names were affectionately bestowed back on him – “Roundy” by his grandchildren and “Uncle Buck” by many of his nieces and nephews who he cherished.

Mike is survived by his wife, Helene; their children, Michelle (Dan) Hutter and Michael (Betsy) Rosner; grandchildren: Riley, Braden and Hailee Hutter and Isley, Alec and Ella Rosner; brothers, Bill (Holly) and Bob (Donna); sisters, Jeanne (Ken) McIntyre and Mary Jo Olk; sisters and brothers-in-law: Joe (Sue) Chuckel; Tom (Karen) Chuckel; Connie (Dan) Marsh; Julee (Doug) Davis; Kathy (Bennet) Davis and Ginger (Roger) Stanek; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his in-law’s, Tom and Helen Chuckel; brother, Jack and sister, Barb Rosner.
