Lyle Conard

Lyle Conard, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on March 30, 1936 in Green Bay to the late Alvin and Odile (Debroux) Conard.  On September 26, 1959 he married Janice DeKeyser.  They were looking forward to celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in just a few weeks.   He enlisted in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957, serving 18 months in Germany.  Lyle owned and operated C & D Mobil Gas Station and Service Center for 20 years.  He also developed many properties in the Green Bay area.  Lyle and Jan enjoyed many years wintering in Arizona where they made long lasting friendships. He truly enjoyed his Thursday afternoon cards at the Pazaza Club.  Lyle was a member of the Tuesday morning golf league at The Woods.  Along with his wife, Janice, they raised 5 children that he was very proud of, including 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Lyle had a quick wit and good sense of humor.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Lyle is survived by his loving wife  Janice, his children, Mark (Mikki) Conard, Mary (Bill) Kropp, Jim (Tracy) Conard, Julie (Dave) McIntyre, Beth (Wade) Wielgus; grandchildren, Jenny (Ryan) Herlache, Nick (Elizabeth) Kropp, Cole (special friend Lindsey) Conard; Mackenzie (fiancé, Frank) Kropp; Tim (special friend Maria) Conard, Amber (special friend Colin) McIntyre, Katelyn (fiancé, Ryan) Conard, Cody McIntyre, Dalton (special friend, Mackenzie) Conard, Lauren Conard, Madelyn Wielgus, Hannah Wielgus; great-grandchildren, Connor Herlache, Kylie Herlache, Madison Kropp, Kirra Conard and one on the way; his siblings Cletus Conard, Kermit (Carol) Conard; Henrietta “Etta” Deprey; Patricia “Pat” Heim, Larry (Bonnie) Conard; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Kaster; Marilyn Conard; brother-in-law, Dan (Susan) DeKeyser; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law,  Bernard and Mildred DeKeyser; brother, Ken Conard, sister, Tara (Conard) Johnson; brothers-in-law; Norbert Heim, Jim Deprey, Mike Kaster, Ronnie (Joyce) DeKeyser; sister-in-law, Emma Conard.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Parish wake service 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church with Abbot Gary Neville O.Praem officiating.  Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoluem.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

The Conard family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Unity Hospice and the VA for their compassionate care.  Also, a heartfelt thank you to their neighbors for the friendship and support, especially over this past year.
