Orville “Orv” Heim

Orville J. Heim, 93, Howard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2022. Orv was born on April 4, 1928, in Green Bay to the late John and Laura (Vanden Langenberg) Heim. Orville grew up on a farm in New Franken. He graduated from Luxemburg High School as the class valedictorian. Orv married Geraldine Peerenboom on August 18, 1951. They recently celebrated 70 years together.

Orville was a lifelong Packer fan and season ticket holder since the age of 20. Orv and Geri enjoyed spending their winters in Florida after retirement. His favorite pastimes included playing cards and golf. They were very active members of St. Mary of the Angels Parish, and recently St. John The Baptist Parish. Orville will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and as a handyman for anyone in need. 

Orville will be deeply missed by his; children, Chris O’Brien, Kate (Jim) Graves, Mari Wuest, Lori (Mike) Granberg, Bunny (Taj) Jordan, John (Judy) Heim, Micki Heim (Steve Peters), “Candy” Renee (Ted) Archdale and Sheryl (Rick) Ledvina; 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Lyle (Delores), Leon (Sandy), David (Mary); and many other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine “Geri” Heim; siblings, Ervin , Cletus, and Norbert Heim and two sons-in-law, Tim O’Brien and Bill Wuest.

Visitation will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 11, 2022, with Rev. James Lucas officiating the Funeral Mass at noon.
