Patricia Tarkowski

Patricia M. (Michalski) Tarkowski, 76, Green Bay, passed away peacefully and returned to the arms of her Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2022.  She was born on December 30, 1945, in Green Bay to the late Michael and Ann (Adamczewski) Michalski.  Patricia was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay.  On May 4, 1968, she married the love of her life James Tarkowski in Green Bay.  They were blessed with three wonderful children.  Patricia enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She also liked reading, movies, road trips, picnics and cookouts.  Patricia found great joy while attending estate sales, craft shows or a flea market.  She had a love of nature it gave her peace and contentment and always said she couldn’t live without trees around.  Patricia stayed active by going dancing, taking classes, drawing and going for walks. Over the years, Patricia volunteered at various places and always was looking for ways to give back.

She is survived by her three children, Dawn Gracyalny, Lisa Tarkowski (Bernie Roehrborn), and Kevin (Christine) Tarkowski; grandchildren, Trevor and Brogan Gracyalny, Riley, Brayden and Peyton Tarkowski; siblings, Ray Michalski, Virginia Heim, Genny Manecke and Shirley Michalski; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James on March 20, 1982; her brothers, Norb, Tom and Paul (her twin) Michalski; sisters, Dorothy Metzler, Gloria Hrubesky and Kate Koeninger; father-in-law and mother-in-law (who were like her second parents), Harry and Tess Bukoski.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating.  Burial will take place in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
