Patrick Van Foley passed away on August 28th, 2019 surrounded his family, close friends and so much love, after a long battle with cancer. His grace and his courage were immeasurable and inspirational. His smile and his strength will always be remembered.

Patrick was born on July 15, 1951 in Davenport, Iowa to Walter and Joyce (Van Cura) Foley where he grew up and then moved to the Green Bay, Wisconsin area to attend St. Norbert’s College. Patrick married Anne (Sheedy) Foley in 1972 and together they raised their three wonderful children until they parted ways. Patrick later met and married Bridget (McKenna) Foley in 2003 when she was lovingly welcomed into the rest of the Foley family. The blending of this Foley family is praiseworthy.

Throughout the bulk of Patrick’s professional life, he was self-employed as a construction contractor in the real estate industry. He also spent some of his working years at Hallmark Realty Group where he spent time as the president of the Realtor’s Association as well as Selmer Construction and Total Service Development.  Patrick loved working with people and had a strength in creating lasting relationships, whether he was selling you a home or building one of his own, he truly enjoyed the people and the process.

Patrick was an avid boater and talked much about his life growing up in the Quad Cities on the Mississippi River. He was very involved at the Green Bay Yachting Club the past 20 years and had a special second family there. He also enjoyed working on his boat, woodworking projects in his mancave, camping, hunting, and spending time outdoors.  Patrick was heavily involved in scouting, both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.  For many years Patrick was the Scout Master for troop 1033 in Suamico where he helped many young people attain the rank of Eagle Scout. Patrick also enjoyed the years in the Bay Port Booster Club supporting his children’s athletic activities and was a member of the Holy Name Society, Wisconsin Realtor’s Association, the Home Builder’s Association and many other numerous organizations.

Patrick is survived by his loving family of Green Bay, his wife, Bridget (McKenna) Foley; Son, Ryan and his wife, Alexis and their children, Amelia and Mabel; Daughter, Meghan and her husband, Russ and their children, Aidan and Grace; Ryan and Meghan’s mother, Anne (Sheedy) Foley; Son-in-law, Jim Schultz and his wife, Kristin and their children, Colin, Bradin, Quentin and Hudsin; Brother, Chris (Rheta) Foley; Sister, Michelle Foley; Brother-in-law, Robert Hingstrum (Kris) of Davenport, Iowa; Brother-in-Law, Shawn McKenna of Milwaukee, and Brothers-in-law, Michael and Patrick McKenna from West Bend, WI.
