Patrick Knaus

Patrick R. Knaus, 63, Green Bay resident, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at a local hospital surrounded by his family. He was born July 5, 1958, in Green Bay to the late Donald and Stephanie (Stephens) Knaus. Pat attended Green Bay Preble High School graduating in 1976. He married Michelle “Mickey” Moreau on January 21, 1978 at Holy Cross Catholic Church.

 Pat’s career was dedicated to environmental construction. He began working in the family business, Knaus Construction. Following Knaus Construction he was employed with the Gauthier Family at Gauthier Construction and retired from Tetra Tech in 2018. His last position with Tetra Tech was the cleanup up of the Fox River and Lower Bay. Pat was a 32 year member of the Operating Engineers, Local 139.

 He was an avid Packer fan and had a passion for the game of golf. Pat loved the time spent in Florida with family and friends, making memories and enjoying the sunsets. His pride for his family was immense and he cherished all the time spent with his children and grandchildren.

 He is survived by his wife, Michelle “Mickey” and their three children: Patrick (Sara) Knaus; Michael (Misty) Knaus, both of Wauwatosa and Stephanie Knaus, Green Bay; his canine companion, Maggie; five grandchildren: Ruya, Brock, Blake, Amelie and Gracelyn; one brother, Paul (Diane) Knaus, Green Bay and two sisters, Pam Bellin, Crivitz and Penny (Dennis) Counard, Green Bay; his in-laws: Mark Moreau and Rene (David) Hoffmann, both of New Franken; Robyn (Hans) Kuhlmann, Denver, CO and Jon Moreau, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Patrick and Virginia Moreau; nephew, P.J. Knaus; two sisters-in-law, Lisa Moreau and Carrie Moreau and brother-in-law, Dave Bellin.

 Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Friday, February 18, from 4:00-7:00 pm. A parish wake service will conclude the evening at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St. from 9:30-10:45 am. Memorial Mass 11:00 am Saturday at the church with Rev. Robert Kabat officiating.
