Ric G. Vanden Heuvel, 60, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was born September 20, 1961, in Green Bay to Richard and Sharon (King) Vanden Heuvel-Routheau

Ric grew up in Dyckesville in the family business, Van Dyke Lanes, where he developed a strong work ethic.  He went on to become a dry wall installer, initially working alongside his brothers in Florida. He later returned to Wisconsin, contributing to large scale projects including Aurora BayCare Medical Center and the Fox Valley Performing Arts Center.

Ric enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his cats, “Pebbles” and “Bam-Bam”. He will be remembered as a generous and thoughtful man, who helped others whenever he could, despite his own limitations and challenges, never wanting to ask for help himself.

Ric is survived by his children, Riki (Kevin) Rine, Jayson (Bre) Vanden Heuvel, Michael Vanden Heuvel (fiancé Lauren Dickinson); his treasured grandson, Jacob; his brothers and sisters, Guy Vanden Heuvel and his girlfriend Lori, Lee Vanden Heuvel, Jon Vanden Heuvel, Kit (Laura) Vanden Heuvel, Job (Jackie) Vanden Heuvel, Lori (Steve) Gray, and Geri Lynn Harju; a special uncle, Jerry Parins who was like a father to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jay Vanden Heuvel; a sister-in-law, Katie Vanden Heuvel; and a brother-in-law, Jim Harju.

The family sends a sincere thank you to the team at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital ICU for taking care of Ric in his last days.  Your good work is greatly appreciated! Also, to his cousin Toni who gave so generously of her time in Ric’s last years and days.  Thank you!
