Rita M. Le Gros, 87, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at her home. Rita was born on March 24, 1935, in Green Bay to the late Jerry and Gertrude (Meagher) Le Gros. Rita attended Green Bay East High School graduating in 1953. She had a strong faith and was a lifetime member of St Willebrord Parish.
Rita was employed at the F. Kaster Company for 10 years and then began a 40 year career with ASPIRO (formerly Brown County Association for Retarded Citizens) retiring in 2006. She developed many friendships over the years and will be remembered as someone who was always cheerful and always had time to help others. Rita enjoyed her life, work, family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with trips to Ireland, England, Italy, Florida and especially Door County. Rita liked the color green as it represented her Irish heritage which she was proud of because her birthday was a week after St. Patrick’s Day.
Rita is survived by her nephew, Nick Le Gros (Nancy Fuller); nieces, Nancy (Lee) Vine; Mary Bork and Connie (Al) Flackey; special friends, Kate and Jason Busch, Gina Miller (Jeramy Katchuba) as well as many other friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald (Dorothy) and James (Anita) Le Gros; nephew, Vance Le Gros and grandniece, Shari Le Gros.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams St. on Wednesday, October 26, from 12:00 -1:30 pm in the parish center. Memorial Mass 1:30 pm at the church with Rev.
