Robert “Bob” S. Gajeski, 91, Bellevue resident, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 28, 2023.  He was born on June 26, 1931, in the town of Bellevue to the late Anton and Gertrude (Huempfner) Gajewski.  Bob was born and raised on the family farm.  He was the eighth of twelve children.  On June 29, 1957, he married Margaret Shinners at Annunciation Parish in Green Bay.  They enjoyed 50 years of marriage and raised six children together.  She preceded him in death on March 13, 2008.

Bob was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Army.  He enjoyed making booyah with those at the Bellevue and Winiecki VFW posts and Bellevue Fireman’s Picnics.  Bob was a member of the first Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a career Local 139 Heavy Equipment Operator.

Years ago, Bob and Marge were members of the Bellevue Snow Diamonds Snowmobile Club and enjoyed playing Schafkopf with friends and family.  You could also find them tapping their toes on the floor while listening to Jerry Voelker and the Jolly Gents polka band.  Although Marge could never get him on the dance floor!  Bob and Marge enjoyed many years at their cottage in Lakewood spending time with their children, grandchildren, and friends.  He also enjoyed going hunting and fishing.

Bob is survived by his children, Mary, Bob (Kim), Kathy (Mike) Framke, Mark, and Ann Brosig; grandchildren, Kyle Scofield, Nicole (Grant) Reiser, Ashley Gajeski, Lydia Brosig, Tony (Brittany) Framke and Eric (Tracey) Framke; sister, Rita Greatens; brother, Clark (Ann); sisters-in-law, Annette Gajeski and Betty Gajewski; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen and daughter-in-law, Jeannie (Winiecki); sons-in-law, Marty Scofield and Rick Brosig; sisters, Ethel (Bill) Hansford, Marcella (Bernie) Thompson, Evelyn (Bob) Dahlke, Mary Ann (Ralph) Watzka, and Arlene Gajewski; brothers, Tony (Angie), Jack (Elaine), Ken, and Jerry; brother-in-law, Don Greatens.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Sr. Helen Keyzer officiating.  Private entombment will take place in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
