Robert J. Steffens, 82, Green Bay resident, died Monday evening, January 31, 2022, at his home. He was born October 30, 1939, in Green Bay to the late Anthony and Mabel (Malliet) Steffens. Bob attended Green Bay Preble High School graduating in 1958. He served in the US Army until his honorable discharge in 1960.

 He was an employee of Green and Gold Concrete retiring at the age of 66. He played AAA Fastpitch in the Classic League and softball as a catcher for 20 years. Bob was an avid follower of Dirt Track Racing. He spent many nights at Shawano Speedway following his favorite drivers, including M.J. McBride, who he also sponsored for many years and Eddie and Jerry and the entire Muenster family.

 Bob is survived by two daughters, Shelly Rautmann and Sheila Steffens, both of Green Bay; one son, Chad Steffens, Green Bay; one son-in-law, Keith Buth, Green Bay; six grandchildren, one great granddaughter and one sister, Judy Allard, Green Bay.

 He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheri Buth and his brother, Don Steffens.

 Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Friday, February 4, from 4:00-7:00 pm. Memorial service Friday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Hoffman officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the Steffens family at www.prokowall.com.
