Ronald “Ron” Liebeck reached his “expiration date” on Monday, August 8, 2022, after celebrating his 80th birthday on April 10th.  The son of Clarence and Lorraine (Derricks) Liebeck was born in 1942. His early years were spent on the family farm in Henrysville.  The family later moved to Sugarbush where they opened Liebeck’s Bar.

Ron’s country called and he proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963.  After returning, he married Phyllis Ann Dorner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg on October 3, 1964.  Ron worked for many years with Locals #19 and #127 specializing in insulation and pipe covering.  He enjoyed woodworking (and has the crooked finger to prove it), hunting, and especially fishing on the Rainbow Flowage near the Liebeck cabin which remains in the family to this day.

Family was near and dear to Ron and includes his wife, Phyllis; two sons and a daughter, Mike (Kari) Liebeck, Vicki (Clint) Deering, and Keith (Kerri) Liebeck; his beloved grandchildren, Maggie and Erin Liebeck; Ali (Jake) Caelwaerts, MaKayla and Hunter Liebeck; Ashley and Taylor Deering, Tyler, Julia, and Wyatt Liebeck; a great-grandson, Chase Caelwaerts and another great-grandchild soon on the way; a sister-in-law, Joyce Liebeck; a brother-in-law, Richard (Marlene) Dorner; two other sisters-in-law, Karen VandenHouten and Debbie (Jeff) Paider; many nieces and nephews.

He joins in heaven his son Mark; his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phillip and Esther Dorner; his siblings, Gloria (John) Shaw, Ardeal  “Bud” Liebeck, and Paul Liebeck; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Audrey and Bernie  Van Pay and a brother-in-law, Darold VandenHouten.
