Ronald “Ron” Jacobs
Ronald “Ron” Jacobs, 92, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022. He was born on January 10, 1930, Green Bay, to the late Theodre and Myrtle (Champeau) Jacobs. Ron met the love of his life Mercedes VanMeerBeek at the Northland Hotel and were married on July 7, 1951. Ron was employed with Tosca for many years and retired in 1991. He liked to bowl and enjoyed riding in his Buick Le Sabre. Ron’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ron will be sadly missed by his children, Gary (Sue) Jacobs, Al (Sandy) Jacobs, Mary Jacobs, Ron Jr. (Brenda) Jacobs, and Jean (Terry) Larsen; grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Brown, Brooke (Mike) Neville, Josh (Leah) Jacobs, Jason Jacobs, Ryan Jacobs, Andrew (Cynthia) Jacobs, Kayla (Nathan) Kleczewski, Michael Jacobs, Katelyn Larsen, Brandon Larsen, and Jacob Larsen; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Luke, Zoey, Alivia, Liam, Hutson, Marlee, Ruby, Lily and Dane; sister and brother in-law, Joan (Bob) McDonald; sisters and brother-in-law, Diana (Topper) Westcott, Cindy (Bruce) Mooren, and Bill Bishop.
In addition to his parents Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mercedes “Mers;” son, Jim Jacobs; twin brother, Donald; sister, Audrey and nephew, Bob McDonald Jr.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at church with Reverend Robert Kabat officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
