Ruth M. Bruhn, passed away peacefully July 15, 2019. Ruth was born on March 28, 1928, to the late Emil and Alma (Habeck) Brandenburg. On August 2, 1951, she married Elton Bruhn.
Ruth enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and many crafts including knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, and sewing. Holiday seasons were spent baking and decorating Christmas cookies with her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent card player and enjoyed many afternoons playing games with family. There was always an extra chair at the table for friends, neighbors, and those in need.
Ruth is survived by her children: Roger (Nansi) Klug, Tallahassee, FL; Linda Gosey, Cape Coral, FL; Russel, Little Rock, AR; Royal (Sue), Green Bay; Reginald (Cathi), The Woodlands, TX; Laurie (William) Bennett, Saint Johns, FL; Bernard, Peachtree City, GA; Donald (Melissa), Thomasville, GA; Roberta (Patrick), San Francisco, CA; grandchildren: Sarah Ramsay, Lizzie Schuettpelz; Josh and Ruth Bruhn; Harrison Bennett; Zachary, Nathan, and Jonathan Bruhn; and Jacob, Madeline, and Samuel Bruhn.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Elton; her first husband, Elroy Klug and infant son, Douglas; a son-in-law, Bruce Gosey; and a sister, Gertrude Frelich.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 743 S. Monroe Ave. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev.
