Ruth T. Schuettpelz, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was born November 23, 1952, in Green Bay to the late Wencil “Jim” and Mary (Keyzer) Krines.
Ruth attended St. Bernard Grade School, and later was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1971. On October 5, 1974, she married Curtis “Curt” Schuettpelz at St. Bernard Catholic Church. For thirty years, Ruth worked for Georgia Pacific (Fort Howard Paper) in their offices, and later worked various other jobs until her retirement in 2014. She will be remembered for her love of camping, fishing, traveling, gardening, card playing, dedicating her time to community service, and ringing bells for the Salvation Army.
Ruth is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Curt; her daughter, Sara Schuettpelz; and her son, Michael (Leann) Schuettpelz; her grandchildren, Daiquan Jaymes and Loralee Ruthie Schuettpelz; brothers, Richard “Dick” (Marvilyn) Krines and Jerome (Sandy) Krines; a sister, Marcia (Bert) Scherer; a sister-in-law, Donna Krines; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Krines, and a sister, Mary Ann (Richard) Nowak.
Friends may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, on Friday, June 9th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
