Sarah J. Hoff, 47, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023, due to complications from an unexpected heart surgery with her family by her side. She was born July 18, 1975, in Jacksonville, FL to Dr. John Stamm and the late Patricia (Jirikowic) Stamm.
Sarah was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Class of 1993. After graduation, she attended college for computer programming. On September 29, 2001, Sarah married Bryan Hoff at St. Anne Episcopal Church in De Pere. She had such a love of animals she attended Global University and became a Certified Veterinary Technician-her true calling. Together with Bryan they opened Wet Nose Bistro eight years ago and with its continual growth they recently moved to a larger location.
Sarah absolutely loved her customers and their pets; so much in fact that she knew her customers by their pets’ names. Family was very important to her. Sarah enjoyed taking mini vacations with Bryan, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She had a love of the outdoors like gardening, riding motorcycle, snowmobiling, UTV rides, and boating on the lake at their cottage and in Door County. She also loved having her “girls movie night” with some of her close friends-Jackie, Lori, and Sarah. Everybody that knew Sarah could never say a bad thing about her. She will be remembered as a very accepting, sympathetic, caring, genuine, selfless person who always put others first.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Bryan; her father, Dr. John Stamm, her sister, Rachel (Joshua) Phillips; her nieces and nephew, Annabel Phillips, Claire Phillips, & JP; brother & sister-in-law, Scott (Lori) Hoff, nephews Justin Hoff, Dylan Hoff, and Caden Hoff; nieces and nephew, Brittany Solberg, Abby Solberg, and Brandon Solberg; a half-sister, Ashley Hoff; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Stamm; her mother-in-law, Marla Hoff; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and a sister-in-law, Kelly Solberg.
Friends may call at St. Anne Episcopal Church, 347 Libal Street, De Pere, on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church with Fr. Tyler C. Richards, SMMS officiating. The burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. On-line condolences may be given at www.prokowall.com. A very special thank you to the Emergency Room Staff at Bellin Hospital for picking up on the condition that led to surgery, and a huge thank you to Froedtert Hospital and staff for the excellent care and compassion Sarah and her family received after the surgery- especially in the VCICU cardiac unit.
