Scott Alan Marquardt left this world on June 9, 2022.  He was born and raised in Minnesota, joining the US Army after graduating from Bemidji High School in 1986.  He served 4 years active duty, some of it in Germany, and returned to the US, heading to Alaska to work on fishing boats.  He landed in Seattle where he lived for more than 20 years, first working as a machinist and later earning a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in education. His first teaching job was Bellevue High School in WA.  He married Patti Aerts in 1999 and in 2008 they traveled back to WI and settled in Green Bay.  He worked in the Denmark School District and then the Ashwaubenon School District until 2021.  Scott loved golf and was a regular at Brown County Municipal course for many years.  He also loved his pets and took great care of his beagle, Daisy, and coonhounds, Mona and Molly.  He was always patient and kind.  Scott had a passion for great music, bowling, Shakespeare, ice cream, and pinball.  The world has lost an amazing person, creative thinker, gentle soul.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jacqueline and William Marquardt.  He is survived by his sister Sherry Jackson, his nephew Kolt Jackson and partner Kevan White, his ex-wife and friend, Patti Marquardt, cousins, aunts and uncles.  He will be missed by the many friends and students he cared for throughout his lifetime.  His family will delay a memorial service to a later date while they cope with this tragic loss.
