Sharon Ann Bangert
Sharon A. Bangert, 81, of Green Bay died Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born August 1, 1940, in Green Bay to Winston and Emma (Stroobants) Nys.
Sharon was a graduate of Preble High School, Class of 1958. She married Joseph Bangert in 1963, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Green Bay. For several years, Sharon worked for Preble Drug and later became a full-time mother and homemaker. She loved to spend her time gardening, playing board and card games, cooking and baking, and volunteering at Valley View Elementary School in Ashwaubenon. Family was very important to Sharon. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and was “Grandma” to many children throughout her neighborhood.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Joseph; her children,Jeffrey Bangert and Kris (Gary) Pezon; her granddaughters, Brittany (Kenny) Beinlich and Kassi (Justin) Off; a sister, Sandra Meyer; sisters-in-law, Debra Nys and Barbara Foster; brother-in-lawDonald (Jacqueline) Bangert; nieces, Michelle (Dan) Johnson, Wendy (Jaret) Sahr, Deb Gritt; nephews,Jody Meyer, Andrew (Jennifer) Nys, Donald Bangert, Jr., David Foster, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Carrie Jo; a grandson, Jake Pezon; and brothers, Dane Nys, Dennis Nys, and Fr. Loren Nys, SDS.
Friends may pay respects at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a service officiated by Deacon Michael Dabecks to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
