Shirley Ann Machurick

On October 4, 2023, our mom, grandma and great grandma Shirley was peacefully called to her heavenly home, she was 94 years old. Shirley was born in Lena, WI with the family soon moving to Abrams, WI where she spent her childhood. Shirley graduated from Oconto Falls High School and married the love of her life Andrew Machurick Jr at St. Louis Catholic Church, Abrams. Together they raised three daughters residing in Green Bay.

Shirley was a devout Catholic never missing mass, prayed the rosary every night and shared her faith administering holy communion to hospitalized parishioners. Whenever someone was in need she always said, “I will pray for you!”

She was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan, listening to games on the radio. A Green Bay Packers fan attending games at City Stadium, Lambeau Field and Super Bowl II. Shirley and Andy enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan and vacationing on Sanibel Island, and Fort Meyers, Florida.

Shirley is survived by daughters, Marcia (Terry) Kazmer and Lisa (Henry) Jacobs; seven grandchildren, Chad (Stacy) Hoffmann, Andrew (Melissa) Kazmer, Jean (Jonathan) Doxtator, Stephanie Jacobs, Matthew (Ida) Kazmer, Angela (Phil) Daoust and Kate (Trevor) Janiak; eleven great grandchildren, Anna and Blake Hoffmann, Andrew and Emily Marie Kazmer, Avery and Elliot Doxtator, Sawyer Kazmer, Aiden Jacobs and Emma Daoust, Eleanor and Madelyn Janiak; sister-in-law, Dolores Machurick; and son-in-law, Steve Hoffmann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; daughter, Deborah Hoffmann; and sister, Blanche Paluch.

To honor Shirley’s wishes a private Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father Andrew Cribben, O.Praem and dear friend Father Willie VandeLoo. Interment will take place at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
