Theresa “Mary” Pittler, 81, passed away on January 2, 2020. She was born in Green Bay on March 16, 1938, to the late Earl and Leona (Raymakers) Van Nelson. Mary graduated from Green Bay East High School. On July 8, 1978, she married Richard Pittler at St. Willebrord Church in Green Bay, he preceded her in death March 8, 2013, after 34 years of marriage. In her free time, Mary enjoyed making crafts for her family and friends. She and Dick spent many summers at their cabin in Elcho and loved their many family dogs, she was also an avid Packer fan. Mary took pride in her nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them.
Mary is survived by her sister and brothers, Judy (Dean) Whiting, Madison; Bill (Cheryl) Van Nelson, De Pere; Tom (Carol) Van Nelson, Summit Lake; and Jim Van Nelson, Green Bay; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents, Earl and Leona Van Nelson; her sisters, Nancy Van Nelson and Linda Van Nelson, both of Green Bay.
Friends may gather at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St, on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.prokowall.com.
