John Campshure

John William Campshure, Jr, 92, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January 31, 2020. He was born in Green Bay on December 30, 1927, to the late John William, Sr. and Alma (Stobbe) Campshure. John graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1945. After high school, he served his country with the U.S. Navy for two years until his Honorable Discharge. John worked 34 years for Mobile Oil, retiring as the Head Auditor in 1983. John enjoyed spending his weekends at the cabin up north near Crandon with his family and friends; where he enjoyed cross country skiing, four wheeling, and bird hunting. John was a longtime and faithful member of St. Philip Catholic Church.

He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

John was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Mildred Campshure, Howard (Esther) Campshure, Douglas (Anita) Campshure, Robert Campshure, Norman (Helen) Campshure, Clarence (Marjorie) Campshure, Harriet Campshure, Richard (Mary Grace) Campshure, Theodore (Marian) Campshure, Jeannette (Milton) Bonjean, Carol Clement and brothers-in-law, Royal Dessart and Francis Clement, and James (Carolyn) Campshure.

The visitation will be at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St, on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Rev. William Hoffman will preside. Burial will be in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.prokowall.com.
