Dorothy Mae “Dotti” Lichtenwald, 89, Muskego, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving daughter Karin and granddaughter Andrea.  Dorothy was born in Green Bay to Ida Mae (LaFrombois) Brice and Garfield Brice on June 4, 1931.  Dotti was the oldest with two younger sisters, Jackie Crooks and Betty Van Pay.  They grew up having the best time together-three peas in a pod. Many laughs and stories have been shared of the three sisters, now celebrating again in heaven.

Dorothy married Phillip Lichtenwald on July 29, 1950.  They had four beautiful children: Beth, Keith, Karin & Scott and made their home in Milwaukee’s suburb of Greendale.

Dorothy lived life to the fullest. She loved people, and enjoyed her career as a waitress.  She took pride in giving to others. Dotti was an extraordinarily talented artist with precise brush strokes as a painter.  One year she entered four of her paintings in the Milwaukee Fair and she won 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Her work was stunning and she taught others the techniques and skills of her Art.

Her biggest accomplishment was her love for children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.  Dotti’s kindness & cute giggle will be missed by all her family and friends.  Dotti is survived by her two daughters, Beth Corona & Karin (Tom) Kloeffler; grandchildren, her extra special granddaughter Andrea (Joe) Szwec, Kayla (John) Hagen, Taylor Corona, T.J. (Tanya) Kloeffler, Cory (Meg) Kloeffler, Kelly (Corey) Jenness; great-grandchildren, Rileigh, Brady, Cameron, Rhys, Owen, Claire, Wesley, Ava & Cayson; a special niece who shared the love and talent of Art with her Aunt, Brenda Van Pay (Bob Mulvey).  Thank you to her special nephew, Hank (Lori) Crooks and great-niece Olivia for helping the family during this difficult time.  A very dear cousin Nancy Compton (who is like a sister to her) also survives, as well as additional relatives  Sherri (Gerald) Pargo and family, Steve Crooks and family, and the entire Van Pay Family from Oshkosh who all loved her deeply.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her two sons, Scott and Keith, her mother Ida M. Brice, her father Garfield Brice, her spouse Phillip Lichtenwald,  her sisters, Jackie Crooks and Betty Van Pay and a nephew Michael P. Crooks.

Due to Covid, a private family service will be held.  She will be laid to rest on the family plot at Allouez Catholic Cemetery on Riverside Drive.  The family would like to extend an extra thank you to the nurses and doctors at Waukesha Memorial ICU unit, especially nurse Anne, for her compassion and care and Jeane Smits from Proko-Wall for assisting in arrangements with her care to transport Dotti back to Green Bay to her final resting place.
