Samuel Jacob Erekson
Samuel Jacob “Sammy” Erekson, 25, died on November 17, 2021, at his home in Lund, Nevada. He was born October 30, 1996, in Green Bay, the youngest child of Jackie Keith Erekson Sr. and Tricia (Hoagland) Stuckart. Sammy will always be remembered for his courage during difficult times, but unfortunately this time the pain was too difficult. His family and friends will hold him forever in their hearts.
Sam leaves to mourn his mother and stepfather, Tricia and Jason Stuckart; two sisters and a brother, Josephine “JoJo” (Christopher) Keeler, Patricia “Grace” Erekson and Jackie (Teana) Ereksen Jr.; nieces and nephews, Kaydance, Clair, Hugh, Amara, Gabriel and one on the way shortly; grandparents including Patricia and Wayne Hoagland, and Jeanette (Danny) McGowan; numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins; his father Jackie Erekson Sr., the rest of his Nevada family.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Danny Erekson and LeRoy Stuckart.
A coffee eyed angel of a boy, Sammy grew up to love ranching and working the land. He could be found plowing the fields in his tractor- earbuds in-listening to his favorite music. He had a gift for mechanical work and was always up to fixing up a car that others had given up on. And boy, did he like making trucks dirty, mudding with his brother and buddies.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, November 26th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home to celebrate Sammy’s earthly life and passage to heaven.
