Stephen J. “Steve” Prevost Sr., 69, of Cable, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at his home. He was born May 15, 1952, in Green Bay to Patricia (Brienen) Prevost and the late Raymond Prevost.

 Steve graduated from Green Bay Preble High School in 1970. In his early years, Steve owned and operated an autobody and paint shop while raising quarter horses. He was employed as a welder at Manitowoc Crane and then went to Schneider National where he was a diesel and trailer mechanic. For many years Steve was the owner operator of Apostle Islands Contracting Services. He was a boat captain and took charters for fishing and scuba diving on his boat “The Driftwood”. Steve worked as a mechanic on the ferry boats and built a replica lighthouse that is at Superior Rentals. Steve was truly a master and “Jack of all trades”. When he moved to Cable he worked for Garmisch’s and Lakewoods in their maintenance departments. Steve was a proud member of the NRA and the Cable Rod and Gun Club. He loved to fish and enjoyed Harley’s hunting and shooting.

 He is survived by his fiancé, Brenda Wilkes; his mother, Patricia Prevost; four children: Stephen (Emily) Prevost Jr.; Mariah Wilkes; Josiah Wiles and Amanda Gilbert; granddaughter, Beth Wagner; numerous step-grandchildren; two brothers, Keith (Terri) Prevost and Rick (Jean) Prevost Sr.; his sister, Debra (Jeff) Frawley Sr; sister-in-law, Barb Prevost and numerous nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and one brother, Tim Prevost.
