Thomas Rotter

Thomas G. “Rots” Rotter, 80, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021, due to chronic health issues.  He was born on February 14, 1941, in Green Bay to the late Arthur and Marie (Neumeir) Rotter.  He was a graduate of Green Bay East High School in June of ’59.  Tom enlisted with the US Army in October of 1963.  He served 3 years with the Army during the Vietnam War.   He retired from military after 21 total years of service between the Army, Navy Reserve and National Guard. 

On December 28, 1963, Tom married Janice Marie Hinz, sharing 57 years together.  He worked at Wisconsin Optical grinding lenses until taking a position with Oneida Golf & Country Club, retiring in 2019.  Tom loved animals with a special place in his heart for dogs and cats.  He was a lifelong Packers fan, never missing a game and enjoyed time bowling in various leagues.

Tom is survived by his wife, Janice; son, David; a daughter; five grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Radecki and Joyce Murphy; two sisters-in-law, Hollie Hinz and Kathleen Smits; his close friends, Jim and Boots; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard William Rotter; five siblings, Lois Depner, Shirley Davis, Barbara Marnocha, Gretchen Marnocha and Robert Rotter; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Edith Hinz.

Visitation will be at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021, with the Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m.  Burial of cremated remains will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.Prokowall.com.
