Thomas “Tom” J. Simonet, 77, Green Bay resident, died Saturday, November 27, 2021, at a local hospital. He was born March 14, 1944, in Green Bay to the late Edmond and Mildred (Smits) Simonet. Tom was a 1962 graduate of Premontre High School and then attended UWGB. Tom married the former Ann Dohr on May 24, 1969, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.

Tom was involved with the family business, Simonet’s Bar, his entire life, starting as a bartender for his mother and dad. Then as an owner for 21 years with his brother Jack and finishing his career with his sons, Mark and Brian until his retirement.

Tom enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling, and sitting around BS’ing with all the friends he had at the bar. Tom’s most memorable times were spent with his family, especially doing everything with Ann. He also enjoyed time spent with Mark and Brian, whether it was bowling at the state tournament with Mark, or fishing in Canada with Brian. Tom was extremely proud of the way his boys had taken over the business. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa.

Tom is survived by his wife Ann and their two sons, Mark (Juli) Simonet and Brian (Kaye) Simonet; five grandchildren: Ashlynne, Alexis, Kyler, Gracie and Tommy; his sister-in-law, Elaine Simonet, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother John “Jack” Simonet and two brothers-in-law, John “Jack” Dohr and Bill (Monica) Dohr.
