Vernon N. Zoeller

Vernon N. Zoeller, 88, passed away on the warm and beautiful fall day of October 22, 2022. Vernon was born on July 26, 1934, in Brookside, WI to the late Oliver and Frances (Schultz) Zoeller. On June 30, 1956, Vernon married the love of his life, Carol Windross. Together they shared a storybook love story, dancing and singing and celebrating life together. Both of them were members of the Abrams Methodist Church and were members of the church choir. Vernon worked at Scott paper for 37 years until his retirement. He worked part time for the WDNR and served many years in the local governments with the Pensaukee Town Board and Oconto County Board. Vernon was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Vernon will be sadly missed by his daughters, Terry (Tim) Keuken and Julie (Fiance’ Joe Hunt) Bredell; grandchildren, Ben (Alyssa) Keuken, Jeremy Keuken (Amber Doeren), Bobbi Keuken (Geoff Nordlund), and Ryan (Tara) Tappa; 11 great grandchildren, Hazel, Henry, Paige, Walker, Khloe, Brayden, Quinci, Kendall, Braylee, and Mylah; brother-in-law, Beryl (Carol) Windross along with many other family and friends.

In addition to Vernon’s parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; brothers, Reuben (Sylvia), Spike (Rose), Rollie (Berdine), Bernie (Leona) and Marvin (Shirley) Zoeller; sisters, Sis (Eddie) Bloom, Arlene (Wilber) Longsine, Betty (Gerald) Townsend, Jackie (Terry) Corbit, and Claudine (Casey) Zima; sons-in-law, Dennis Bredell, and Paul Tappa and sister-in-law, Nona (Neal) Eichman.

Visitation for Vernon will be held at Green Bay Community Church Chapel, 600 Cardinal Lane, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
