Virginia Rose “Ginger” Majeski, entered her heavenly home on the 4th of July, 2023, just a month shy of her 90th birthday. She was born August 3, 1933, to Theodore and Rose (Rosik) Matuszewski. On August 29, 1953, she married Dr. Henry E. Majeski and began her fulfilling life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Faith and family remained her highest values throughout her life, and she prayed for her children and grandchildren daily. Having all her family together for holidays and gatherings was one of her greatest joys. Ginger was a wonderful cook, but also enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends. While her main occupation was Mother and Wife, she did find time to enjoy friends, traveling, knitting, reading, card playing, bowling, and telling jokes. Her unique sense of humor and quick wit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be dearly missed by her 8 beloved children: Michele (Jim) DeBaker, Mark (Serena) Majeski, Mary (Kevin) Vandervest, Kathy (Vince) Lemmens, John (Leann) Majeski, Jim (Sharon) Majeski, Kevin (Charlene) Majeski and Jenny (Gary) Schmude; her adoring grandchildren: Jessica (Dan) Friendshuh, Andrew (Scott) DeBaker, James (Jenn) DeBaker, Tom (Julia) Majeski, Zach Majeski, Bill (Ashley) Majeski, Jake (Sam) Majeski, Rebecca Jadofsky, Skyla (Patrick) Loritz, Riley Vandervest, Adam (Nicole)Lemmens, Emily Lemmens, Nikki Lemmens, Kyle (Kristen) Lemmens, Dr. Monica (Kyle) Majeski, Erika (Jeremy) Vogels, Diana (Brandon) Wenman, Max Majeski, Mitch (Abbie) Majeski, Samantha Majeski, Karissa Majeski, Ryan Majeski, Whitney Neuville, Hailey Schmude, Allyson Schmude and Will Schmude; great-grandchildren: Evan, Luke, Aubrey and Ellie Friendshuh, Violet and Beckett DeBaker, Teagan, Elizabeth and Chloe Majeski, Kevin and Khloe Allen, Henry and Ruby Majeski, Vada Loritz, Grant Lemmens, Kenlee Lemmens, Nova Majeski, Eden and Gavin Vogels, Tyson, Cooper and Mia Wenman. Ginger is further survived by a brother, Ron (Sheri) Matuszewski, a sister Sandy (Steve) Oge; three sisters-in-law, Pat Matuszewski, Dorothy Majeski and Ann Majeski; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, Stevie and Joey, a sister, Rita Nickels, two brothers, Ted, and Myron Matuszewski; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank the caregivers at Allouez Parkside Village, and ProMedica Hospice for their support and help throughout this time.
