Wallace W. Krueger, 92, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was born on March 10, 1931, in Milwaukee to the late Herman and Florence (Elkey) Krueger. Wally proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1952. On January 14, 1956, he married Barbara Bourain in Oconto, Wisconsin. Wally worked as a machine operator at Schreiber Foods for 38 years. He enjoyed traveling in his RV and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wally liked to work in his vegetable garden and in his younger years, take his children to horse shows. He liked to relax in his recliner, with the remote in his hand and on Sunday’s watching the Packers play. Wally will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara; children, Gail (Keith) Umentum, Joy Phillips and Wallace “Bill” (Cassandra Mullen) Krueger; grandchildren, Corey (Jackie) Phillips, Jason (Angie) Phillips, Bradley (Jill Brice) Krueger, Felicia (Erin Dix) Krueger, Jordan (MacKenzie Henn) Krueger and Brandon Krueger; great grandchildren, Kaiden (McKenna Zenz) Phillips, Landon Phillips, Bella (Noah Sigmund) Phillips, Rylen Phillips, Myles Phillips and Logan Krueger; siblings, Jerry (Sue) Krueger, Gaylord Krueger and Judith (Ken) Bohl; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many other nieces nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carl (Joan) Krueger, Kenneth (Marge) Krueger and Arnold (Pat) Krueger; and sister-in-law, Joan Krueger.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home with Rev. Jon Zabell officiating. Full military honors will follow.
