Lori Ann Beirl, 60, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Lori was born February 12, 1961, to Robert and Judy (Weininger) Beirl. She was the oldest of five children. Among her many accomplishments, while at Edison Junior High, Lori was instrumental in convincing then Mayor Tom Atkinson that Green Bay deserved a city flag, resulting in Green Bay school wide design competition and the original flag dedicated in 1973.

Lori’s family was the center of her life. No matter the occasion, family and friends knew Lori would be there with a big smile and a delicious dish to share. She frequently found fun activities in the community and brought her family along with her. She looked forward to spending as much time with them as she could (and spoiling them, too). Lori always encouraged and supported others to follow their dreams and do whatever makes them happy.

Lori also had a great passion for volunteering, especially at the Altrusa House. During her volunteer work, she not only supported the guests who stayed there, but also provided outreach to other places in the community. Lori loved talking with the guests, providing them with meals, chairing events and fundraisers, and doing whatever she could so others felt love and comfort no matter the circumstance.

Lori’s giving spirit led her to be nominated for the Green Bay Packers Community Quarterback Award, which she received in 2008. This was a wonderful way to recognize and honor Lori for all of the selfless work she had done. This was also very special, as Lori was a devoted Packers’ fan.

Lori is survived by her siblings, Steve (Nancy) Beirl, Sue (Dale) Kassner, Mark Beirl, Julie (Dean) Dallmann, nieces and nephews, Ashlee (Kyle) Resch, Marcus Beirl, Christopher (Talia) Beirl, Lyndsee (Jake) Elm, Cody Dallmann and Sean Dallmann. She is also survived by her great niece and great nephews, Nolan Beirl, Aubree Elm, Lucas Resch, and Oliver Beirl.

Lori is preceded in death by her loving parents, her grandparents, as well as two aunts.

Lori was known by all for her kind and loving heart and her friendly and welcoming demeanor. She will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know her.
