Nancy Jane Larsen
Nancy Jane Larsen, 89, went to her Lord on March 10, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born January 13, 1933, in Green Bay to the late James and Mildred (Jorgensen) Schlies of Denmark. On May 5, 1951, she married Gordon “Butch” Larsen in Denmark and enjoyed 57 years of marriage.
Nancy’s hobbies included bowling, golf, and going on walks, and family trips to Door County. She was a lifelong Brewers and Packers fan. Nancy was an active member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, including being a member of the Bible and Brunch Study Group for more than four decades. She assisted with many church activities including fish fries and the annual Thrift Sale. Nancy also supported her faith based community by volunteering at Curative Workshop, Bethesda Thrift Store, and Bornemann’s Nursing Home.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Donald) Van Winkle, Racine, Sandra Larsen, Lindenhurst, IL, Galen Larsen, Denmark, George (Lisa) Larsen, Arlington Heights, IL, Amy (Dave) Tillmann, Green Bay, Beth (Tom) Hrdlick, Brookfield; her grandchildren, Jason (Kristen) Danielle, Joshua, Ross, Taylor, Gabrielle, Madeleine, George, Chase, Jack, Augustin; her great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Skylee, Justin, Amelia, Jesse. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Deb Schlies, Brillion, and lifelong friend Audrey Schaffer, Green Bay, and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon “Butch” Larsen; a brother, Ronald; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law.
Friends may call at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St., on Saturday, March 26th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev.
