Donald H. Kaye, 89, Green Bay resident, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born on May 1, 1933, in the town of Gardener to the late Ernest and Effie (Delsipe) Kaye. Don graduated from Brussels High School where he was a three-sport athlete and class president. On June 9, 1956, he married Angela Massey at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Sugarbush. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2011. He served his country with the United States Army in the 31st Infantry Division “Dixie Division” at Fort Carson Colorado and deployed to Stuttgart Germany. Don was employed at Proctor and Gamble for 37 years and as a paper maker he became the youngest Machine Tender for the company in the nation at that time. He was among the first crews to begin developing and manufacturing Bounty Paper Towels and Pampers Diapers. He was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan. Don was a dedicated and loving family man who always put his family first.
He is survived by his three children, Rocklyn (Lori) Kaye, Wendy (Roger) Schubert and Shawn (Edward) Buck; grandchildren, Emma, Aldon, Berclee, Colin, Ian, Angealic and Baird; great granddaughter, Madelyn; sister, Joyce (Stanley) LaCrosse; sisters-in-law, Winnie Massey, Jane (Gene) Koss and Janet Kaye; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Candace Kaye; brothers, Ellard Kaye and Richard Kaye.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Funeral Mass 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
