William John Preuss, Sr., born October 30, 1960, to the late Norbert Paul Preuss and the late Norma Jean Puckett. He was called home to heaven on December 7, 2019.
Bill was the fourth child of seven, six boys and one girl; Jan (Mark) Madonia of Carol Stream, IL, Mark (Patricia) Preuss of Twin Lakes, Daniel (Renee) Preuss of Madison, Tenn., Don (Stacie) Preuss, Trevor, WI, Robert Preuss of Genoa City, WI, and Norbert Paul (Dawn) Preuss of Trevor, WI. Along with step-siblings, Mary Anne (Neil) Terry, Muscle Shoals, AL, the late Dennis (Linda) Puckett, Waukegon, IL, Melinda (Rich) Hankley, Muscle Shoals, AL, the late Tony (Bonnie) Puckett, Muscle Shoals, AL, the late Joanne Puckett, Hatten, AL, and Nancy (Greg) Bulloch, Haines City, FL; and his step-father, the late Bill “Pops” Puckett.
Bill was an avid music lover, he enjoyed singing and recording music in his free time. He was a big Chicago sports fan, whether it be the Cubs, Bears, or the Blackhawks.
He left behind a wife of 38 years, Pauline (Swanson) Preuss, and had four children; James M. Preuss, who preceded him in death on January 25, 2015, Stephanie (Don) Deprey, William J. (Elizabeth) Preuss, Jr., Matthew T. Preuss; a nephew, Scott M. Preuss, whom he thought of as a son; Stephen Canale (Melissa), whom he also saw as a son, and their child, SJ; two granddaughters, Raemey Deprey and Kayleigh Preuss; a very special friend, Donna Gilley; best friend, Christopher Wolfe; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, whom he all loved very dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on December 14, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 417 S Kane St, Burlington, WI. Pastor Robert Bowling will preside. Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
