Doris J. Popp, 92, Green Bay, passed away on May 12, 2020.  She was born on November 17, 1927 in Marinette to the late Walter and Josephine Berg.  She spent most of her childhood in Bloomer, WI.  After graduating from high school during WWII, she took the bold leap and moved to Milwaukee to find work.  After the war, she met the love of her life, Fred, who after 58 years of marriage preceded her in death in 2007.  After moving to Algoma, Doris joined Fred in his dream to be a farmer.  During this time, she took a bookkeeping correspondence course which enabled her to start her career at Plumbers Woodwork (Olsonite Corp). In her 28 year career she worked her way to the position of office manager.  After retirement, Doris and Fred spent their time at their permanent campsite in Door County, square dancing, traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her children, Darlene Popp, Green Bay; William (Gail) Popp, Green Bay; Diane (Bradley) Deprez, Suamico; Cheryl Popp, Luxemburg; Daniel (Gillion) Popp, Lannon, WI.  She is further survived by her grandchildren, Todd Popp, Jason Popp, Sara Hyska, Jenny Pigeon, Kaelin Deprez, Kevin Deprez, Brandon Popp, Justin Popp and Amy Mann; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Ron Berg and Larry Berg; sisters, Pat Berg and Peggy Berg; sisters-in-law, Joanne Kollross and Betty Popp; brother-in-law, Louis Popp; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, stepmother, Myrtle; brother, Tom Berg; and sister, Joan Scheuermann.

Due to the current restrictions regarding COVID-19, a private Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Rev. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Allouez Parkside Village and Heartland Hospice for the love and care they gave to Doris.
