One of Alvan’s most cherished memories was his participation in the Old Glory Honor Flight in May 2015. Such a wonderful day; receiving the overwhelming thankfulness from so many people that he so deserved. He was also a member of the Denmark VFW Post 6705.

He had such a passion for his apple tree. He enjoyed sharing the fruit from his tree, which he had grown into having both red and golden delicious apples. He grafted branches of yellow delicious onto the red delicious apple tree. Every fall he had a bountiful harvest! He was an avid Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed the memories from attending games over the years. Alvan also enjoyed many years of deer and elk hunting, as well as fishing with family and friends.

In retirement he enjoyed every sunny day, sitting on his deck & soaking in the rays of beautiful sunshine! He enjoyed the friendships made at the Bellin Health Fitness Center in Bellevue. Alvan’s greatest joy in his life was his family. He adored and was so very proud of his grandchildren and their accomplishments!
