I, Ann E. (Gillis) Northway, was born in Green Bay on April 16, 1951, to Antone and Dorothy (Jankowski) Gillis.  I went to my eternal resting place on November 27, 2020, with my family by my side.  I am now pain free; no longer do I worry about my long-term illnesses.  I am forever enjoying my favorite Christmas Hershey’s commercial.  Think about me when you hear those bells ring.

After graduating from East High School in 1970, I attended NWTI for childcare.  On August 19, 1972, I married my high school boyfriend Gary.  I am forever grateful for everything Gary had done for me, especially these last several years.  We raised our precious daughter Amy who grew up to be my best friend and married our favorite son-in-law, Jason “Jay” Allen.  They gave us our so beloved grandsons Bennet and Wesley who gave me the nickname “MeMa.”

Along with my husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandsons, dog “Ginger” and grand dog “KoJack”, I will miss my brother John “Jack” Gillis, sister-in-law Joann Northway, nieces Chris Gillis and Kathy Smith, and other family members.  I can’t forget about special friends so dear to me: Karen, Kay and James and their family, Sue, and special memories of Tricia, Jason and Sophie.

I was preceded in death an infant son Francis, my parents, a brother Paul Gillis, a sister-in-law, Mary Gillis, brothers-in-law Larry and Richard Northway.

My friends and family will gather to remember me from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Ave.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for me at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral with Rev. Brian Belongia officiating.  To watch a lilfestream of my service go to sfxcathedralgb.com, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the red button.  Inurnment of my ashes will be in front of the SS. Peter & Paul section of Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.  Proko-Wall Funeral Home assisted my family.  You may direct memories to my family at www.prokowall.com

Due to family allergies, please refrain from remembering me with flower arrangements.  Rather, please make a donation for Myasthenia Gravis Research.  Contributions may be mailed to Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason, Green Bay, WI 54302. Please write ATT: Northway Family on the exterior of your envelope.

Boys remember I love you! MeMa
