Ann Joyce Emmel of Crooked Lake passed away peacefully Monday, February 7th, 2022, surrounded by her family who she loved dearly.  Ann was born January 14, 1940, to the late Alvin and Agnes (Rentmeester) Pigeon in Green Bay, WI. 

Many may have known her as a dedicated employee at Witt Ford and Wiedermeier’s Garage in Crivitz. She enjoyed chatting with people whose cars were being fixed, brightening her day. Thank you to all those who remember Ann and brightened her day. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed all of natures blooms.

In addition to working hard she found time to train German Shepherds which was her passion. Receiving many awards for her exceptional showing of her dogs in agility.

 Her commitment to provide a loving home to her surviving, children, Karl Emmel of Crooked Lake and Hanna Groff (Todd) of Beaver, PA. was an inspiration to all. She is also survived by one grandchild, Ryan Groff and two sisters, LuWilla Pillar and Mary Holschuh. Ann will be further survived by her constant and furry companion, Gus, her cat.  

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first-born son, Joseph; sister, Arletta Laundree and ex-husband, Gus Emmel. 

 Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Hoffman officiating. Burial will be at Holy Martyrs Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy a memorial will be established in Ann’s name.
